Scholarship Information
  • ICC has rescheduled cheer tryouts! The new date is March 22nd, 2019. 
  • The Jessica Nicole Gurley Memorial Scholarship is now available. See Ms. Honeycutt or Ms. Logan for an application. The due date is April 2nd, 2019.
  • The Isaac Winders Memorial Scholarship is now available. See Ms. Honeycutt or Ms. Logan for an application. The due date is April 9th, 2019.
  • The DARE Scholarship is now available. Students must have a 3.0 GPA and have completed the DARE Program. See Ms. Honeycutt or Ms. Logan for an application. The due date is April 23rd, 2019. 
  • Beta Sigma Phi announces two scholarships for seniors who have good character, community involvement, 3.3 GPA or higher, three letters of recommendation, and a 500 word typed essay about their goals of study. The Emily Wright Horne Memorial Scholarship and the Epsilon Nu Scholarship are both due April 15th, 2019. See Ms. Honeycutt or Ms. Logan for an application. 
  • The Rev. Charlie & Cinderella Taylor Foundation announces it's $1,000 scholarship. To apply, seniors must have a 3.0 GPA or higher, an ACT of 22 or higher, three letters of recommendation, and a 250 word typed essay titled "How I will use my education to bless others." Apply online at http://www.cctaylorfoundation.org/application.html. The deadline is March 31st, 2019.
  • The Health Care Foundation of North MS announces the Jim Spruiell Memorial Scholarship for seniors who plan on entering the emergency health care field. Students must have a 3.0 GPA, three letters of recommendation, and a 350 word typed essay about why you want to pursue a career in emergency health care. See Ms. Logan or Ms. Honeycutt for an application. The deadline is March 28th, 2019.

  • Dixie Softball is offering a scholarship to senior girls who participated in a Dixie Softball program for at least two seasons. Financial need and scholastic ability will be considered. See Ms. Logan or Ms. Honeycutt for an application. The deadline is February 1st, 2019. 
  • The Jordan Lindsey Christian Character Scholarship is now available through the CREATE Foundation. Students must plan on attending college in Mississippi, major in the medical field, and have at least a 3.0 GPA. See Ms. Honeycutt or Ms. Logan for an application. The deadline is March 8th, 2019.
  • North Mississippi Mayors Association - Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to two students entering a Mississippi senior (4 year) college. Students who plan to attend a community college may not apply. Students must turn in their application to Ms. Logan or Ms. Honeycutt by Wednesday, January 30th, 2019.
  • MORA - Eleven $500 scholarships and one $1000 scholarship will be awarded to deserving seniors graduating from high school in Mississippi. Students may attend either a community college or a four year university. Requirements are a GPA of 2.5 or higher, two letters of recommendation, and a 300-750 word essay on one of the approved topics. See Ms. Logan or Ms. Honeycutt to pick up an application or learn more. Applications are due to Ms. Honeycutt or Ms. Logan by Friday, February 8th, 2019.
  • Mississippi State University announces Spring Preview Days on February 18th & March 25th. For a $10 fee, students receive a t-shirt and lunch. Sign up online at SpringPreview.msstate.edu
  • The Aberdeen Rotary Club announces a $750.00 scholarship for students of south Monroe county. Seniors may pick up an application from Ms. Logan or Ms. Honeycutt. The deadline is March 28th, 2019.
  • Russell Orthodontics will be giving away a textbook to a senior in Monroe county through it's "Smiling Senior" scholarship. See Ms. Logan or Ms. Honeycutt for an application. The deadline is March 29th, 2019.
  • Applications are being accepted for the Summer Teen Volunteer Program at Baptist Golden Triangle Hospital in Columbus, MS. Students must be 16 years or older by January 1st, 2019 and complete an extensive application and interview process. If accepted into the program, students will receive a tuberculosis skin test and complete 24 hours of volunteering. Students who complete the program can then apply for the hospital's auxiliary $2,500 scholarship.  See Ms. Logan or Ms. Honeycutt for an application.The deadline is April 1st, 2019.
  • Thompson Welding is offering a scholarship to a senior with a 3.50 GPA or higher. Two letters of recommendation are required, along with leadership activities and community service. Students may attend a community college or a four year university with any intended major. See Ms. Honeycutt or Ms. Logan for an application. The deadline is April 3rd, 2019.
